The Hearth is a mixed used 8 story development which includes a restaurant, live/work spaces and luxury apartments in downtown Boise, ID.  Boise has experienced an incredible population growth.  With much of this coming in the form of single family housing being developed further and further from the central business district, the Hearth provides a direct response for those looking for quality housing options closer to work and the amenities of the thriving Boise downtown.

The building’s design involves a simple massing extrusion that creates dynamic elevations along its super block.  Interior and exterior materials are high quality and long lasting, meant to impress it’s first residents and eliminate the need for costly maintenance for the development client.

My involvement on the project started at the end of design development in which amenity spaces were still being solidified and construction detailing was kicking off.  I jumped into a set development and detailing role, focused on bringing the schematic ideas to life and ease their execution in construction.
